Thousands of protesters also stormed Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s presidential palace. Angry Lankans have now taken it upon themselves to make their government accountable for the debilitating economic crisis. The protests have resulted in both the Prime Minister and the President agreeing to step down. But what is the future of Sri Lanka going to be?
