Surge of student deaths, a cause for concern | Unbreak the News with Prema Sridevi | Ep 75

In Tamilnadu’s Kallakurichi, a Class 12 girl student was found dead inside the school campus on July 13. The incident resulted in widespread protests, with the girl’s parents alleging that there was foul play in the death. Today, another death was reported in the Thiruvallur district in Tamilnadu, where a Class 12 student was found dead in her hostel room. According to the National Crime Records Bureau, student deaths have been increasing in India. The data indicates that more than 34 students die by suicide every day, accounting for students taking their own life every 42 minutes in the country.
