Recently, the CBSE dropped a few chapters from its Class 11 and 12 history and political science syllabus. The topics that have been discarded include democracy and diversity, the non-aligned movement, central Islamic lands, excerpts from the translations of two Urdu poems by Faiz Ahmed Faiz, the chronicles of the Mughal courts and others.
