NLU Delhi: A Grim Pattern—Three Deaths in Just Weeks
Shreyashi Chandra, a first-year law student at NLU Delhi, was tragically discovered dead in her Ghaziabad residence on September 30, 2024. Her death marks the third such incident reported this September, raising serious concerns about student well-being. The Probe has obtained a suicide note, purportedly penned by Shreyashi, addressed to her fellow BA LLB students across the 2020 to 2024 batches, as well as to the faculty at NLU Delhi.
Shreyashi's Final Goodbye Note
Titled "Final Goodbye," Shreyashi Chandra's alleged suicide note was reportedly sent to all her BA LLB batchmates at NLU Delhi, as well as to the faculty. The email, sent at 9:36 a.m., tragically preceded the news of her death by only a short time.
In her alleged final email, Shreyashi expressed deep gratitude to her peers and teachers for their support over the last three months. She made it clear that her decision was her own, taking full responsibility for her actions and apologising for any sadness her choice might cause. The note concluded with a heartfelt goodbye.
