Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital's Medical Negligence Killed My Child: Mother
Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital: "Medical Negligence Claimed My Daughter"
Rinki Parcha’s world came crashing down on October 15, 2024, when she lost her six-year-old daughter, Tanishka—fondly called Aarohi. “I had seen her dead body. I am still living today as if it’s the 15th of October,” Rinki sobbed. “Sometimes I feel that I should just take my life. I can’t live without my child.”
On October 14, Aarohi was taken to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital in Delhi with mild complaints of stomach pain and nausea. Doctors prescribed medication and sent the family home, advising them to return the next day. But when they did, the unthinkable happened. Within minutes of receiving two injections, Aarohi passed away.

According to her family, Aarohi showed no severe symptoms before her second hospital visit on October 15. “She only told me she didn’t feel like eating,” Rinki recalled. “I made her drink milk and tea with two biscuits before she left. She walked into the hospital on her own, but within minutes after she reached the hospital she died."

Aarohi, a bright and ambitious child, had dreams beyond her years. “She wanted to become a teacher, sometimes a soldier. She would say, ‘Mamma, we will have a big house. I will become famous, and I will make vlogs on YouTube,’” Rinki recounted.
The family insists they returned to Madan Mohan Malviya hospital on October 15 only because the doctors had advised them to do so. What should have been a routine follow-up turned into a nightmare that has left the family searching for answers.

What Happened at the Hospital?
Aarohi’s uncle, Sunny, who accompanied her on that fateful morning, was an eyewitness to the events that unfolded. “Aarohi told me she was feeling restless. Two or three doctors came to us. They gave her two injections in front of me and then asked me to stay outside,” he said.
Minutes later, Sunny was informed that Aarohi passed away. Sunny said, his voice heavy with disbelief, “After 20 minutes they came out and told me that they couldn't save her. I asked them how was that possible. She was completely okay.”
The family alleges that the doctors disappeared after informing them of Aarohi’s death. “All of them ran away. No one was there,” Sunny claimed. “The doctors immediately fled after breaking the news.”

With no clarity on what led to Aarohi’s sudden demise, the family is demanding accountability. “I just want to know what happened to my child,” Rinki said. “If I had known she would face such problems, I would never have left her alone like that.”
“Aarohi’s vitals were completely normal just moments before her death,” said Sunny. “The doctors had checked her heart rate and oxygen levels in front of me. Everything was fine. Then, 15 to 20 minutes later, they called me and told me she was no more.” He said that he arrived at the hospital at around 10:30 AM and was informed of her passing by 11 AM. “After that, there was complete chaos in the hospital,” he added.
Father Questions Hospital’s Role
Aarohi’s father, Mohit Kumar Parcha, who was at work when she was taken to the hospital, shared a heart-wrenching account of the events that followed. A video he recorded at the hospital captures the family's anguish as they confronted hospital authorities, demanding answers.
“She only had a vomiting sensation and fever,” said Parcha. “On October 14, she was completely fine when she returned home from Madan Mohan Malviya hospital. If the authorities want, they can check the CCTV footage. It will prove that she was absolutely okay.”
The family alleges medical negligence, pointing to the sudden deterioration of her condition after the injections. “After the injections, her body turned blue,” said Parcha. “When I arrived at the hospital, I asked the doctor, ‘Which injections did you give my daughter?’ I even folded my hands and pleaded for an answer. But the doctors had no response. When I started recording a video, they ran away.”
"Discrepancy in Hospital Records"
Further compounding the family’s suspicions of medical negligence, Parcha claims that while Aarohi was brought to the hospital at 10:30 AM on October 15, hospital records state that she arrived at 12 noon. “They have written false reports,” he alleged. “If they are telling the truth, they should show me the CCTV footage. The camera doesn’t lie. We have proof—our call records confirm that she was there at 10:30 AM.”

The family is now demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to Aarohi’s death. “They have fabricated the records,” said Parcha. “After my daughter passed away, the doctors disappeared. I called the police at 12:50 PM, and I have the call details to prove it. The truth needs to come out.”
Aarohi’s Grandmother Struggles to Cope with Her Loss
For Aarohi’s grandmother, Sudha, the pain remains unbearable. “My tears don’t stop. She was my first grandchild, and we pampered her so much,” she said, her voice trembling with grief. “She used to talk a lot with me. Everyone would say that Aarohi would do great things when she grew up. But now, she’s gone.”
Sudha recalled her last conversation with Aarohi. “She met me on the 14th before going to the hospital. I had an injured leg, and she told me, ‘Bye, Grandma, I will recover and come back soon.’ How was I to know that she would never return?” As she watches old videos of Aarohi, she is overwhelmed by sorrow. “It was medical negligence at Madan Mohan Malviya hospital that killed her. I won’t get my dear child back,” she wept.

Aarohi's father has written to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital, demanding all medical records related to his daughter, including details of the injections administered. However, the hospital has allegedly refused to provide these documents, a violation of NMC guidelines.
“Through your channel, I want to say that what happened to us should never happen to another child,” said Parcha. “This was a case of death due to medical negligence. Strict action must be taken against such negligent doctors. They should never be allowed to practice.” He also issued a direct appeal to the Delhi government. “No one has spoken to me yet—not even Saurabh Bharadwaj, under whom this hospital operates. Three months have passed, and I am still waiting. With folded hands, I request the government to hear us out.”
The Probe reached out to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital to get more clarity on Aarohi's untimely death. Despite multiple attempts, the hospital authorities have remained unreachable. We have also sent a detailed questionnaire to the hospital. The story will be updated as soon as we hear back from them.
Key questions linger around Aarohi’s untimely death. How did a child, who walked into the hospital full of energy, suddenly pass away? Was it the injections, or was there something else at play? Why wasn’t a complete medical examination done the day before when she was in the same hospital? And why the discrepancy between the family’s claim of her arrival at 10:30 AM and the hospital’s record stating 12 noon? What truly caused Aarohi’s death? Who is responsible? Only a thorough investigation can uncover the truth—a plea the family has desperately made to the government, hoping for justice.
